Christina Aguilera may play her first full-fledged role in the movie Burlesque.
The singer is said to be in negotiations to star as a burlesque dancer in it, reports contactmusic.com.
“It is too preliminary to comment on casting,” a representative for the studio told E! Online.
Burlesque is due to begin filming in January 2010 and Dancing With the Stars professional Julianne Hough has also been linked to the film. She might star alongside Aguilera as a pregnant showgirl.
She’s been flying under the gossip radar for awhile now, and yesterday Christina Aguilera was spotted out and about with son Max.
According to an inside source from StarzLife.com, the “Ain’t No Other Man” songstress looked none too happy with her man, Jordan Bratman, as she stomped out of a Los Feliz restaurant carrying her little guy while her hubby rushed out behind them yelling for her to “Wait!”
Aguilera appeared to be ignoring her husband’s requests and instead made her way down the street with her toddler on her hip, trying her best to avoid the paparazzi.

Christina Aguilera is planning to put a Gothic twist on her new album by collaborating with synth-pop band Ladytron.
The Dirrty singer is a huge fan of the Liverpool quartet and invited them over to Los Angeles to work with her, reports the Daily Star.
