Christina Aguilera’s husband gave her an unusual gift for Mother’s Day – a locket containing a drop of blood.
The 27-year-old celebrated her first Mother’s Day – as a mum – with ten-month-old son Max this year, and hubby Jordan Bratman made sure it was especially memorable with a stunning Stephen Webster locket.
The ruby heart, which is now one of the singer’s favourite pieces of jewellery, features a diamond sword and a small drop of blood, though Christina doesn’t reveal whose blood it is, and opens up to reveal Max’s photo, she tells InStyle.
“I love the symbolism of the blood droplet,” said the star. “It’s like Max pierced my heart.”
Jewellery-loving Christina admitted she couldn’t go without wearing her baubles.
“Probably the only time I did not wear jewellery was when I gave birth to my son, and only then because I was so swollen,” she recalled.
