Christina Aguilea: ‘I Love Cher’

CHRISTINA Aguilera says she fell in love with Cher while filming new movie Burlesque with the music legend.
The Dirrty hitmaker has revealed that the Strong Enough singer had an influence on her career years before she ever met her.
“I love Cher and I never knew just how much before I made this movie,” said Christina. “I have always had tremendous respect for her. She is a woman who did everything before anyone else did it.
“She is an icon and she inspired me through some of my career. We’ve had similar costumes too!”
However, it was recently claimed that Aguilera and Cher were at each other’s throats because Christina felt like she was being upstaged by the 63-year-old star.
“Christina’s jealousy is ripping the production apart,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “The movie contains many musical numbers and while Christina has been great, Cher’s come in and knocked them all out of the ballpark.
“Cher’s also become instant pals with her dancers, while Christina barely utters a word to them and has been behaving like a total diva. Everyone on the set loves Cher — but most of them think Christina is a stuck-up upstart.
“There’s no love lost between Christina and Cher — they barely talk off camera. Christina’s clearly jealous of Cher, but they’re both very smart women and know they need to keep the feud behind the scenes.”
