Despite it being titled “Not Myself Tonight,” Christina Aguilera says her latest single is so much like her, even though someone else wrote it.

“I didn’t write it, actually. I really make sure that I write all my material because it’s really important that I feel it, but that song kind of showed up at my doorstep,” Aguilera told MTV News this week. “I was feeling like going back into the studio and expressing what I’m feeling, and what I’ve learned. So I was asking for tracks, and what not, and that just kind of showed up. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to sing this song – it’s just so me’.”

Despite earlier rumor mentioning that Christina Aguilera’s next studio album “Bionic” would be released sometime this March, new report said it has been pushed back. According to Rolling Stone’s Spring music feature, the effort is now due in “July or beyond.”

Christina Aguilera revealed the title of her new album in an interview for Marie Claire’s February issue and gave the publication preview to her three new songs. Then, she showcased a fresh track called “Lift Me Up” during a live performance at “Hope for Haiti” telethon.

Aguilera has turned car designer after being asked to create an eco-friendly car for a charity auction.

Aguilera teamed up with Chrysler to design the eco-friendly vehicle, the new Eco Style car, which features recycled materials in the interior and an economic engine.

It also features a water-based Vanilla, cactus-colored seat-inserts and bamboo appliqué placed on the door trim and center console (all sustainable materials).

Christina Aguilera reportedly gave her baby son Max a scare when she came home wearing a long wig.

The ‘Dirrty’ singer was sporting the fake hairpiece as part of her role in the upcoming film Burlesque, and forgot to remove it at the end of the day’s filming.

A source told the National Enquirer: “Max was really confused and he didn’t want to go near her.”

The insider went on to say that her husband Jordan Bratman had then realised why Max was acting so strangely and asked her to remove the false locks, adding: “As soon as she did, Max ran up to her and gave her a big hug.”

CHRISTINA Aguilera says she fell in love with Cher while filming new movie Burlesque with the music legend.

The Dirrty hitmaker has revealed that the Strong Enough singer had an influence on her career years before she ever met her.

“I love Cher and I never knew just how much before I made this movie,” said Christina. “I have always had tremendous respect for her. She is a woman who did everything before anyone else did it.

“She is an icon and she inspired me through some of my career. We’ve had similar costumes too!”
